2022 Black Travel Summit “Stay Fly”

Donte Johnson and I were invited to attend and speak at the 2022 Black Travel Summit “Stay Fly” in Miami. Black travel, luxury, and hospitality experiences have become important to me personally and professionally. It’s not that I am interested in being a travel influencer focused on the Black experience, but instead I am hoping to have an impact on how things are restructured post pandemic and the death of George Floyd. Everyone seems to be paying more attention and have an interest, genuine or not, in fighting social injustices. I look at traveling as a luxury, but experiences are also the greatest teacher. Experiential learning is something I believe in wholeheartedly and have experienced directly. Black luxury and hospitality also needs to change and is going through a reflective period.
